~The Setting Sun~

I see the setting sun everynight as i drive home.
I look in my mirror and think of you.
There is so many colors i know by heart, shades of Pink, Yellow, Purple and Orange mixed together.
The colors go over and under the clouds that are perfectly white.
My heart sinks everyday knowing its one more day that i havent seen or talked to you.
Months have passed by slowly as days drag on, knowing that its just another day that i am lost without you in my life.
The sun shines in the mirror i am blinded by the bright orange basketball, i see a face and it has a big smile, it makes me smile to, knowing that your thinking of me.
The sun sinks down behind the hills, I only wish i was with you looking at the sunset behind the snow covered mountains.
I day dream about a day i am with you, i just saw you again for the first time in a year.
It was a suprise that i never thought would happen again in my life.
We are sitting at a park its late afternoon, just talking away about what has happended in our lives.
You keep on making me giggle and look at you with the cutest smile you have ever seen.
You move closer to me and touch my hand softly, i can tell your nervous because your tense.
We keep talking and flirting like last time we saw each other, its getting later in the day and we dont care, as long as its only us.
Things are so good between us i am so happy and so are you.
Now are hands are locked together we are snuggled together, i cant stop looking at you, i turn away to see that the sun is slowly going down behind the rockies, you can see it perfect from where we are sitting.
You dont even know how long i have waited for a moment like this, a moment with just the two of us laughing and catching up on time.
We just sit there holding each other like we had always wished to do one day.
I look at you one more time to see the bright orange sun make your eyes crystal blue.
At that time you turn your head and look at me with a smile your dimples are showing as your eyes twinkle.
You slowly put your hand up to my face and put your palm on my cheek, slowly and smoothyly you run it down to my chin and ever so slittly pull my head to yours and gently kiss me as the sunsets in front of us.
It was the perfect kiss i had ever had, it was cute.
I dont know what to do about this kiss, i go for it.
When we are done kissing, you reach your hand over and pick a dandy lion and put it in my hair.
I smile and lay my head down gently on your chest, as we watch the sun slowly diseaper behind the mountains.

Its amazing how much you notice about the littlest of things within a single moment that you're with the person you love. Its as if every minute turns into a year and every hour turns into a century until the whole day spent with a loved one reaches eternity. Very beautiful poem! Keep up the good work!
