They all bow down before me
For I’m their all, I’m their queen
But queen of what? I ask myself
They obviously don't know me well
They strum their lutes and whistle flutes
As I notice something strange
In the corner of my eye, it seems,
The world is up in flames
No one here can see it
No one here but me
I feel alone in the crowd
Why won’t it let me be?
I tell them everything will be alright
They’ll get everything they desire
But in the back of my mind
I see someone burning in a fire
The smell of smoke suffocates me
The fire burns in my blood
Someone must know my secret
The end is soon to come

This is a strange story, but interesting - especially at the ending. Makes me wonder what the secret is. Nice write. Cheers! |
