Alone has never felt so good,
This familiar loneliness feels better than it should.
I always felt empty without you by my side
But now i walk with newly found pride.
My eyes view this world in a different light,
I`ve realized if i falter i should never loose my sight,
My dreams are only one step away,
And i`ll reach them all with no delay..

i don't think the rhyme scheme makes it corney. i think it's really good. just make sure you express your true feelings even if it doesn't rhyme...that is the main thing i look for in a poem :-)

It's a nice little poem,corny is ok,boring is not,your little poem has something to say,and it says it nicely.
