I should have seen this coming,
And prepared myself for the worst
I’m losing faith, I’m losing you
And to be honest it really hurts
what hurts more than losing the closeness
is that im losing a part of me
the brother and protector i never had
the only one who understands me
I really don’t want to lose you
You’re the best friend I’ve ever had
But I’ll bear my pain and give you room
You have a new life now, and I’m glad
I’m really gunna miss you
We both did some crazy things
But I’ll always keep you close in my heart
And I’ll always wear your ring
You know i'm going to miss you
but im happy that you have a new life
and i hope the best will come for you
as you start ahead with you soon to be wife
this has gone on long enough
for a simple farewell/goodbye
so i end this now with the best of wish's
and a teary but happy goodbye

Who would not be able to identify with these emotions? You expressed the experience very well. I, also, believe that this is healthy, mature, and a loving way of thinking.
A better day will come for you, I'm sure. (or... ia this is from the real your imagination!)
