Burnin up...

Contributed by Unheard_Mute on Wednesday, 19th January 2005 @ 08:52:35 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Life sucks then you die, get used to it
I should know with all this abuse to it
Why try and live life when you're bound to die
Die alone and cold trying to hold on to the lie

Give up on all goals, all hopes and all dreams
Stop taking it slow and go for the extremes
Trapped in your bubble fighting for every day
End up old and unhappy and just wasted away

Live fast and die young, the motto I live by
Don't stop till I'm dead or my brain is fried
Lied to by the world so I'm shutting it down
Livin life like I'm alive down in H-Town

So I've decided to let my life be guided like a match
Start with a bang as I'm lit with a scratch
Burnin up quick to the end, then flicker real fast
Burn out in the smoke, reduced to ash as my past

I think it's safe to say that you're probably pretty young right? If you keep thinking that life is not worth living and that you should give up on goals, hopes and dreams... all you're doing is programming that into your brain... it's like software on a computer, except that it's not so easy to change. And by doing that then you're most likely going to live a *****ty life. If you think that life is BS then you're the only one that made it that way... or do you not control your own life? I used to be like you when I was younger too... now i'm 23 and really don't have anything accomplished, but i'm trying to delete this old software cuz my brain is in need of an update.

Your poem is okay, I like your other ones better. Life should be lived to its fullest, no matter how hard things get. Get happy and enjoy what can, life isn't all downs!

This is a good poem, I don't like it as much as your others, but it's still good. I remember when you told me something like this. Live life to the fullest. I agree, i guess, but don't over do it. I like the comparision to the match as well. (You know me, I have this thing for candles and fire.) -Sami-

I did like this poem unlike the others :D "live life as if you'd die tommarow" is one motto and another funny one is "children in the dark causes accedents, but accedents in dark cause children" I plan on doing all I can when I can instead of says oh i wish I did that. Listen you might be young and all but your life is yours and live it the way you want to. People always say just because your young you don't know how to live but I say hey its my life i'll live it the way I want so screw you!!! MMFCL
