Fear Of Waking

selfstruggles

Frightened of waking
in the morning with that
uneasy feeling.
Restless....
mind is running
at full throttle.
It frightens me so.
Afraid of who I'm becoming...
some anxiety ridden human
walking shell.
I feel unknown to myself.
A stranger.
Even though it's been this way
since days of childhood.
When thoughts should be of fun
and not of death.
Little heads should be free of trouble...
Young minds encased in a happy bubble..
It wasn't that way though.
It's been lonely and scary.
Many years of craziness.
Many years of tears.
Many years of facing..
unknown fears.
