My Lord ! My God ! Why ?

My Lord ! My God ! Why ?

Three this morning
Sleep I try
Here I lie awake and moaning
I roll around toss and turn
My mind thoughts of everything
My heart burns
Sleep I pray You bring
Troubles make me worry
I think of way back when
You can help me surly
God You gave Yourself for men
"Makes me tremble"
What You did for me
Humble
In my dark soul I begin to see
Lord I whipped you
My sins were on Your back
I didn't mean to
Lord its faith I lack
In my blackness I see Your might
I I nailed You to that cross
In total darkness I see Your light
God I pray my soul not be lost
God Jesus I never thought
Your blood It's on my hand
My soul You bought
Jesus You died for man
"Father forgive them"
Terribly alone never such horror
Is what You said then
The horrible blackness our sins You bore
Thank You God Jesus
In my darkness I see Your light
You died for us
I feel Your warmth
Your loving might

Sinn

When I saw The Passion, I realized the incredible burden all that sin put upon Christ---so much so that His Father had to look away. It can surely keep one awake nights. I know this feeling well. Good write.

Excellent poem of contrite humility. God gave you that too. What an amazing Savior. God bless you.
