Dead People

Contributed by Crazy4Christ on Friday, 6th December 2002 @ 08:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Dead People
I see them everywhere
What can I do to reach them, and make them realize....THEY'RE DEAD
Dead People
I talk to them everyday
Is there something spacific God wants me to say
Dead People
They think their alive
Think their having the time of there lives
Dead People
Don't realize their dead
But they are-
Because they don't know God!
They are dead!

How do you know these people that you see don't believe in God? I'm intrigued.

The people that I am talking about in this poem may in fact belive in God...but, unless they have a personal relationship with him they're dead!

Your poem shows strong emotions and unfaltering belief in God. I must commend you on your faith and your writing.

Though it is a shame to know that through your eyes I have ceased to exist.

I'm delighted that I don't share your beliefs and that I don't write people off when they don't share mine.

Life's a rich tapestry and I enjoy looking at all of it.

You really should be careful what you share. It's okay, the poetry, that is, but it's for you, the poetry, that is. I don't know how old you are, but you have to remember that we all go through times of spirituality. And we never stay in that same place. Trust me, we NEVER stay there. We're supposed to be Christians by example. We're not out to get anyone. NO ONE. We are supposed to go out into the uttermost regions and share the gospel of Jesus Christ, but people will not hear with their ears. There are gonna hear with their hearts. If you have some 'holy roller' who is so adamant and overbearing, no one is gonna listen. You know why, because the moment you get their attention, they are gonna see you slip. That's right, and that's why we have to be very careful what we say. These people aren't dead. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Remember that? The people that are dead, are the ones who have heard and reject Him. Ultimately, only God knows who they are. People hate Christians so much, because they profess how easy Chrisitianity is and cram Jesus down throats, yet most don't live up to their creeds. The greatest cause of atheism is Christians, who profess Jesus with their lips, and denounce Him with there lifestyle. Not just those that are 'rebellious'; it those backbiters, backstabbers, revilers, busy bodies, bossy, overbearing twisters of Scripture who are very full of pride. Remember the Pharisees?

I am sorry if i offended you in any way with this poem.....but, your comment does not and will not change my belief....the word of God says that if you are not living for him you are dead...These "dead people" that i talk about in the poem does not mean that they will not come to God eventually.....but, its my job as well as other "children of God" to witness to them...You said in your comment that christians are the leading cause of atheism...Well, if thats so then the word "christian" has no meaning...I believe that a "child of God" and the word "christian" have different meanings....If a "christian" does bring someone to atheism then i don't really believe they are a true "child of God"

bless

good thoughts, but be careful how you phrase them, otherwise they may become more of a turnoff from Christianity than a turn-on to God...

Elizabeth makes some good points.

Do you think Jesus Christ would view these people as 'dead'? I certainly don't.

I have had a personal relationship with God for as long as I can remember, but I am not a Christian. Am I dead?

If you have a personal relationship with God then no...i don't think you are "dead" its your choice to call yourself a christian or not....after all .....it is just a word...anybody can call themselves it

bless
