Dead in the Lies

Contributed by shamateur on Tuesday, 18th January 2005 @ 09:59:59 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Why must we be this way
So full of hate so full of it
When it began we were merely here
Then we began our journey into the unknown
Full of darkness and full of death

As we continue we suspect the obvious
Embrace the fear and reject reality
Kill the truth and breed the lies
There is nothing for us but lies
The truth is dead and so are we

Death is only the beginning
For we have an eternity to embrace the truth
The truth we never wanted
Prolong the lies till death
It’s the only way to live
There is no escape for our day has come

And a new day is upon us
A day of judgment a day of fear
We are condemned by the truth we rejected
Who are we to blame for the choices we make
There are too many lies and not enough truth
There is nothing to believe in anymore
Everything is dead and so shall we remain

In reading this, I felt like I was getting a totally unguarded look inside your head. Good write.
