This Life

Contributed by MorbidDeath on Tuesday, 18th January 2005 @ 05:53:25 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

This life of mine has buried me deep
Too dead to care too numb to weep
Shallow rivers tell it all
Just one more step until I fall
The moment lingers; I can not feel
It'll take more than time to heal
My mind is blank yet filled with pain
But as i've learned no pain no gain
With all my experiences you'd think i'd learn
Nothing seems to drown this burn
Lies are all i'll live and tell
Devil walks these halls of hell
He sits there now and passes out
I creep on by before he shouts
Who i am is a creation of a monster
Dare he demand me to call him my father
Am i all you wanted me to become
As you sit there yelling pretending you're someone
To think you're half of me makes me nausious
I'm praying please just leave me unconcious
You've become a demon you've past the test
The stench of alcohol clenches to your breath
I'll close my eyes to disappear
My only way to escape from here
