Topic: Grief

If you look a little farther, you'll see beyond my sleek demeanor.

I'm not as wonderful as you think I am.

I'm no devil, but I can't be as angelic as you claim I am.

If I were an angel, I couldn't be stuck here,

Living in this hell, this constant tension,

There is no release.

I need to stop and take some time to catch my breath.

I can't stay here and suffocate.

Because that's what's happening.

I'm choking on this dank evil darkness.

I'm drowning in my tears.

I'm dying, darling, can't you see?

You've got to let me go.

Because if I stay here, I fear that I shall not survive the night.

This is my last chance.

I must be redeemed.

Please just let me go, love.

I can't stay here.

This one last sacrifice is all I ask.
