Unsure

Topic: SadPoetry

I understand not just who I am
I understand not just what I need
Uncertainty rules my daily life
Fear leads my every step

Afraid of laughter and rejection
Afraid of feeling and being happy
Unable to let go and surrender
This cannot be me

Pain and loneliness I welcome
Domination is my salvation
Direction is what I lack
No one and nothing to believe in

Unsure of where my life is leading
Destruction draws me near
Inner demons dry me out
Nothing left to give I fear

Surrender to your will
Surrender to deaths call
The end is what I seek
The pain is my desire

Knowing you has been a thrill
My place I think I have found
Too many obstacles to cross
Should we go on this way

Lessons you try to teach me
Love and desire you show
My feelings for you are true
But still I cannot let go

My past and present prevent this
Not allowed this happiness
My demise is in the near future
Only this I can be certain of

I have not the words to show you
My love for you and your touch
I desire to be near you
Always and forever,
My Master
