disappointed

Contributed by ashleigh4 on Friday, 6th December 2002 @ 03:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

when my blood pours from my veins
i press the blade
and wonder "am i happy?"

rubbing salt into my cuts
i hope that i will die, but
i know that i will live.

living is so painful,
an arduous way to die
lest i speed my execution...

will they find me
in a bath? in a bed? in a dream?
will they miss me
as they slowly die themselves?

can i start my death sentence?
string the words together,
to strangle my cries for help...

Hey, Ashleigh this was a good poem. I've asked these questions asked in the poem many times myself. I love the last stanza the best. I can feel the pain in this poem so well.

Ashleigh, I really liked this write. I have to say my favorite stanza is :

will they find me
in a bath? in a bed? in a dream?
will they miss me
as they slowly die themselves

This really hit home, plus there's good imagery and a nice flow.Thank you for sharing.

Take care
