I hope you understand
When I tell you know
I'd love to be your girlfriend
But I'm afraid it can't be so
It's not that I don't love you
Or that I don't care
But to risk my heart again
I truely do not dare
You broke it once already
I didn't know what to do
But now you're back and I'm confused
Shame on you, shame on you
You came back a better person
So I love you all the more
But I'm afraid the answer is no
When you leave, please shut the door
I hope you understand
That I had to tell you no
I'd love to be with you again
But still I'll answer, sorry no
