you rocked me to sleep
in the pitch black of night
you gave me butterfly kisses
and hugged me real tight
when i was sick
you carressed my fevered head
your hands stayed all night
folded by my bed
used to my mind
was on nothing but toys
now i think nothing
but cars jobs and boys
no matter how many times
my heart gets broken
i can always think of you
and the loving words you've spoken
i know i can be
a total pain
and sometimes i drive you
completely insane
when i need to talk
to a good friend
i know a listening ear
you will happily lend
thank you so much
for always being there
i hope you know
i truly love you and how much i will always care
