Seasonal Depression

Short, dark days,
afternoons disguised
in rain and dreariness,
the pounding on the windows
grows stronger by the second.
Oh, how this poet longs
for bright, sunny skies,
gorgeous green grass,
bare arms, legs, and feet,
and the smell of summer air.
