I Don't Know What Day It Is

Contributed by New_York_Chick on Monday, 17th January 2005 @ 02:40:37 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Remember the little white lies
And the thrill of the first love
Doesn't matter how long it lasts
At least we agree on one thing
It's never enough
You and I both think we've learned
But we're still pretending to be more mature than we are
The easiest thing is to forget how we got burnt
Once you get your wish from that falling star

It's funny cause I don't know what day it is
But I'm smiling not only on the outside, finally there's peace
All these times my heart had to cry for me
When I couldn't let you see my tears
I'm afraid to move right now
I haven't felt this free for years

These memories will be a part of who you'll become
When you stop fighting the past
You realize you just have to accept that you never really move on
Without you it isn't hard to say you were a mistake
Three more years from now and I'll admit
I'm the only one who doesn't see the words "I'm over you" are fake

It's funny cause I don't know what day it is
But I'm smiling not only on the outside, finally there's peace
All these times my heart had to cry for me
When I couldn't let you see my tears
I'm afraid to move right now
I haven't felt this free for years
