The Falling Rain

Still falls the rain, the untimely sadness of the darkness crowd around the blackened trees, which were haunted by the never-ending violence. As the trees slowly shed their pain filled leaves, and focus their tear filled eyes toward a gray and dull earth of pain and misery. Among the grasses, lies a serenity that was shattered by self-deceit and bitterness. Young children lie motionless in pools of their own blood as though to be guarding the silence that threatens to engulf all of those would dare listen. Birds of the trees moan in utter torment as the night closes in. They huddle with their maker and say they're tired of repeating yesterday's terrors. In the depths of the roaring river descends a gleaming bird of fire. It flies around in circles breathing fire and threatening for someone to even dare come close. The little children of the village who once played in peace are now slaves of the unholy terror that lies beneath the earth, waiting for its next victim to fall prey of its evil death trap and destroy the world in seconds. As the sun goes down, the long hellish night begins. But still by the lake that is now full of helpless victim's blood stands a girl, who believes herself to be worthless and pathetic. She then smiles and lets out a unbearable cry and then all of a sudden she falls to the ground laughing and her laughing stops and then she dies. Faintly in the distance a blinding red light appears, and yet the falling rain never stopped.
