Wild Horses
~~~~
Watching you grow-up
Love fills my heart
I’m overcome with pride
Right from your start
I see things in you
The world is in need of
Your tender and gentle way
Your heart full of love
But like a wild horse
You were meant to be free
To explorer the person
You want to be
To see the world
To drink of her fruit
To serve your country
In which you salute
But when your wondering
Days are through
I hope you return
To a heart that’s true
Never dormant
In my heart you’ll stay
For when you return
Wild horses couldn’t keep me away
This is absolutly a great poem. It really paints a pretty picture too. And I like the title, it's eye-catching. *ish a horse fanatic* Not what I expected from the title, but I still like it. Especially the last line, "Wild horses couldn't keep me away" Good write. |
What a darling write - makes me think of my three year old, and his not yet overboard sense of independence. He is such a "wild horse". As always =), loved your write!
Thanks for sharing!
