Tell me the details of your demise
The only explanation for all of the lies
There is no hiding it, no cleaver disguise
I can see the truth through tired eyes.
Give me the strength to look your way
And the courage to know you and love you anyway
I cant help but wish I could run and hide- run away
To never again believe a word you say.
You rattle my bones and shake my core
Every night I pray you'd keep my heart of getting sore
Curled in a ball, cold on the floor
Wishing and hoping you;d come back through my door-
Sweep me away and bury my strife
Take me away and make me your wife
I lay my heart out, I hide the knife
Lets start over, together- make a new life.

Welcome back, Lindsey. Its good to see you around again. This certainly reflects the bittersweetness of love- unrequited and hopeful, but tainted with the harshness of memory.
Keep writing, and reading. |

It's good to find you've done a bit of writing recently. Sorry for this tardy comment. I find this powerful. The plea
Tell me the details of your demise
The only explanation for all of the lies
There is no hiding it, no cleaver disguise
I can see the truth through tired eyes.
is meaningful - to be able to understand the hardships behind the cruel things that others have done to us, is the start to being able to empathise, and become selfless.
An important piece.
Blessings.

Wonderfully written poem, that I enjoyed reading very much. So much of love lost these days. People just can't commit....but please don't pick up where they left off. I've seen so much destruction when one get hurt. We can only control ourself, and then stay on alert!
I love you poetry
Stay strong
Warm hugs and love
