The Hardest Thing Ever

Contributed by CurtisC on Monday, 17th January 2005 @ 03:05:45 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

How do you erase something that's held so deep within?
Can love be this hard to forget?
It's always lingering right below your skin,
following you like a silhouette.
Love is hard to come by,
but harder to wash away.
lots of asking why,
and feelings of dismay.
How could anyone make it through this?
I think I'd rather drown.
To go from a feeling of bliss,
to your whole world crashing down.
This is the hardest thing I've ever done,
the most I've had to mend.
This nightmare has just begun,
when will it ever end?

This is beautiful.

"Love is hard to come by,
but harder to wash away."

Your work is so amazing. I enjoyed reading this one cause its got so much potential to touch people. Crash and Burn by Savage Garden comes to mind when I read this, but unlike that song, theres a lot less hope here, and it just adds to the piece.
