Kind Enough, Cruel Enough

Contributed by Kuro_Mirai on Monday, 17th January 2005 @ 12:27:24 AM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

Kind enough to give me a hand
Cruel enough to push me back down
I was there when you felt off track
But when I needed you, you just turned your back

When that important one died
You pushed me aside
When I needed you
You didn't help me see things through

You told me to stop crying
You couldn't tell I was trying
You told me to stop being a whimp
When my feelings felt limp

I was there when you were broken
Much to your good fortune
But you don't even care
When I get a good scare

You laughed at my pity
You even said I was ******
But all those times are coming back
All of those times you gave me wisecracks

Now you need me to be there
Well, it's time to make us square
Go have someone else take your crap
Snag someone else in your trap

I'm gonna be like you were
Only think about myself
I'll be kind enough to give you a hand
And cruel enough to push you back down
