Between You and Me

Contributed by BeefieSmalls on Sunday, 16th January 2005 @ 11:11:47 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I never knew if God heard, the questions that I had
I asked them every night, before I'd go to bed.
I'd ask him about life, and responsibility
and the question that I always asked, Is there someone there for me?

The answer was far from here, about a year ago
I took this special girl out, to see a picture show.
We had such a good time, but friends is all we'll be
She tore my heart out, between you and me

Between you and me, She wouldn't stand a chance
Between you and me, Her choice was just too bad
and now she regrets it, how she misses me so
But between you and me, She will probably never know

Never know how I kiss, Never know just what she missed
Never know that I am the one for her
I gave up my future, to find that special place inside
and all she gave back to me are these tears that I cry

I heard God's answer, about a week ago
He sent me an angel, who had traveled down that road
She told me she'd been waiting, for me to roll around
God answer my prayers, if she could only see me now!

Man, I really hope "she" gets to read this. Very sweet and sad and full of regret at the same time. Nice!

This is great! I really enjoyed it. I can relate to it very well because I always wondered if there was someone out there for me, also. Maybe we all just make the wrong choices and get discouraged. Don't worry, one day you will find someone who appreciates you right from the beginning ;) Keep writing!
