Wish I Can

Contributed by maria_mendonez_ibardolas on Thursday, 5th December 2002 @ 04:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

Wish I can
Wish I could
Change this world
For a better place for all

A world in my own imagination
With love and peace
To take away the sorrow
In everyone’s heart

Hatred, war and sufferings would not exists
If people of all nations can come together for one purpose in life
To love and care for each other

I know that I cannot change the world
But maybe I can make a difference
With understanding and compassion
To anyone’s I come across
That love will spread
To everyone I come to know
And within them it goes around
To all the people around the world

And love will grow to everyone’s heart
Then there will be peace
No more hatred, sufferings or war
Only a better place
To live in love with god

Spirit and soul will be light
If we have the love in our hearts
To everyone we come across
Where money cannot buy

Don’t you think we ought to stop
For one moment in our life
To think deep in thoughts and in our hearts
That we can make a difference
For everyone of us

Nice job! Enjoyed every bit of it. Just one little thing though, you forgot to capitalize God. Other then that, excellent work.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
