Last Off the Plane
January 15, 2005
I was last off the plane,
But first to get a cab.
First one blamed,
But last to get mad.
I am last on the list,
But first to be seen.
First to be kissed,
But last to come clean.
I was last on your mind,
But first to let go.
First to lie,
And last to say no.
I want to be a last impression,
But a first shadow.
First out the door,
But last to arrive.
Last to take a chance,
And first to lose my drive.
