Society's Suicide

Contributed by socialburnin on Saturday, 15th January 2005 @ 03:46:48 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

When I was six
I wanted to be an astronaut
But now Im fallin far behind
And collapsing before the races start
Im throwing in the towel
So I can move my bowels
And pass out ideas
Of blue collar success

It was always worth a try
To look an adult in the eye
Without laughin at the kid
Trapped deep inside
Its only worth the mention
That I only paid attention
Whenever it was suitable
To mock whoever thought my mind was beautiful
Down goes another
Member of society
Down goes another
Teenager to tradgedy

So now we're cuttin all the ropes off
Tryin not to get our hopes up
Laughin away our troubles
And burst all the big kids bubbles
Playin on the playground
And dancin round to the sound
Of revolution on the air
And the typical noice but we dont care
Till someone kicks us out
Cause its Societys Suicide
Societys Suicide

And now we talk
About givin up all our rented thoughts
Sleepin till the afternoon
And playin drums with knives and spoons
My shrink always told me
That I was a phoney
Tryin to grap attention
By being offensive
And I think he was right
So thats why I sleep alone at night
Ill touch myself and dream
About things that couldve been
Down goes another
Member of society
Down goes another
Teenage to anxiety
