This Chain

Contributed by MyInspiration on Thursday, 5th December 2002 @ 12:30:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Please remove this burden, this lock and chain. Unlock me from the tourment, unlock me from the pain. Never more than ever have I needed someone, anyone. Just someone, but this confusion leads me to run.

To run from my life, and everything there is. I know that life is supposed to be great, but this is far from bliss. My own problems and insecurities bring me down like the setting sun. My life has ended, or has it just begun?

Happiness is fake, love is a game. Emotions make us, but none of us are the same. You and I. Him and her, we are all different, but its yourself you blame. Headstrong we may be, lifeless your life may seem. They say this life is a gift, its up to you, make your own dream.

I blame myself, for all my self loathing and suffering. I know now, my life, my lie, it means nothing. Dont try to fool yourself, you know you have felt the blame. Its just not fair, the way were held by this chain.

arg, i used to carry that chain everywhere with me. i would rather not dwell with depression again. there is hope, not all of the good things are fake... finding the genuine is hard and timely and costly, but it's worth it. hope you find it one day. kudos! ;0) -daniel
