The killer within

Twilight brings another kill,
wandering aimlessly in the dark.
These are not the monsters
that linger in the day
underneath the beds
of children.
These killers are concived
in the minds of man,
springing forth from their hearts,
the demons are born.
From the hissing of the forked tongue
to the lashing out for physical pain,
their poision spews into the streets
and into our youth.
Innocent victim,
not much of a life yet lived,
programmed to carry out
the evil that fills them up.
Love was never a concept,
only search and destroy,
as you were in your younger days.
Scars on the body
tell the horrible tale.
Scars on the mind,
the nightmare continues.
