See You Later My SiR

Contributed by o7neves on Friday, 14th January 2005 @ 07:36:03 PM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

I don’t know how to say this
So I’m gonna get right to it
You should know how I feel for you by now
But if you don’t I know your question is How?
All of my love poems have been inspired by you
This one unfortunately is meant for you too
There’s this little thing called hope that holds me back
Holds me back from the things I feel I may lack
I did not plan for this it kinda fell in my lap
So I’m writing this so that you can help me close the gap
I’ve been talking to this guy on and off for a few months
But I didn’t take him seriously cuz I thought he was pulling stunts
I realize now that he is 100% serious
And I on the other hand am nothing but delirious
He wants me to be his steady girlfriend
And I therefore am considering putting us to an end
But before I do I need to know if we have a chance
Because if we do I must change my stance
I know this is, an unfair question to ask
But I really need everything to be unmasked
I guess it’s obvious that you’re the one I want
Thoughts of you and your presence is what stays and haunts
I guess this was just something I needed to say
For I already know your answer, you don’t feel the same way
So this is my way of saying goodbye
So there you have it, let me go so I can cry

that was a great ending to the series. I really enjoyed reading this one. I will make one minor suggestion though...i was thinking maybe the last line sounded a little better if it went like this....
"so there you have it, you can't say i didn't try"
