HELLOOOOO….HELLOOO
Is anyone there? HELLOOO!
Damn it answer me!!!
I have been roaming this nothingness for hours
You are Susan welcome…I am Angelica—came a reply further up the path
You are a soldier…I am your angel on Point
What? My angel, I don’t have an angel…where in blue blazes am I?
I know I am dreaming this. Point? Just point me in the right direction!
I have a job to do, I am not finished
Susan, I am your guide, we are going to see the Creator.
Angelica is my name up here but I was Sharon Ann Lane, Nurse, 312th Evac;
killed during a rocket attack, in Vietnam
I don’t know what you have been drinking sister but I need to get back to my unit
Just point me the way back
There is no going back, you have cross over, by way of an Iraqi RPG
You are here among all the other women who served their Country
And have been sent here to join the other sisters from the Civil War,
World War I, World War II, Korea, and Vietnam and now Iraq.
The Creator just wants to tell you thanks for serving and being faithful and true.
Come join your sister heroes. They all surround Susan...one calls out
Where are you going Angelica?
To go help another sister on the path
They all ask together in one voice...WHEN WILL THE KILLING STOP?
The Creator reaches down and hugs them all wiping their tears away

Interesting.... almost like a play script rather than a poem...you may want to fix the spelling mistake in the title. Otherwise, great work! |
