Is It Possible

Contributed by RealCrystal on Thursday, 5th December 2002 @ 07:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Is it possible that I could miss you so much
Is it possible how much I want to feel your touch
To hear your voice
Is it possible that I'm left with no choice
But to think about you night and day
I used to think that I could never feel this way
And when I talked to you I thought that your feelings would stay
no matter what I did

But I messed up
I told some lies that split us up
And broke us apart
And here I lay with a half-broken heart
Cause you left me with your mark
Of love and guidance
Of trust and I had to hide it
And I regret that I did
And I ask,
Is it possible for you to forgive

I can't say i've messed anything up with anyone i've been with, it's always been them to cheat, leave, lie, or shove me away...i can say however that this is very sad...i try each day to live by one simple rule of my own....more of a promise i made to myself a very long time ago, which was to always follow my heart and tell people how i felt when asked or felt necessary even if it hurt them and be very honest and open, and leave the lines of communication very open...i for one don't want to live with regrets when im old, wrinkled and sittin in my rockin chair......thanks for sharing this one i enjoyed it alot....

something good with someboday. i have lots of those with many good friendships, thankfully not with significant others. i find that it can be the hardest thing to lose those people whom you care for so much, and they won't listen to you nor forgive you. i try to make do with what i have and if it's nothing then i move on without that person who was once a friend. it's sad really, but what can you do? all the more reason why i try being very careful with friendships... kudos! ;0) -daniel

Well...I've never really been one to do things that would screw things up with someone I care about, usually I'm the one on the receiving end of that crap, but I certainly know the feeling of missing someone that much. And I will say, at one point in time, if I'd read this poem back then, I would've hoped that a certain someone felt exactly this way! Does that count?? lol

Awesome, touching poem!

Hey Oreo, I read your comment and I just felt compelled to tell you that I try to live my life by keeping the exact same promise to myself, and I think it's a good thing to do. So, good for you! I know that it generally has worked out well for me, and I'm very glad I made that promise to myself. I wish everyone would do the same! I also must pride you for wanting to go through life with no regrets. I know I have none, despite all the crappy things I've done, just because of some of my beliefs about life, and I hope that the day I die, I still have none. I hope the same for you. Good luck!
