The race

Contributed by jace on Friday, 14th January 2005 @ 01:13:41 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

And the rode was hard and cold
But in the end I evaded the mold
of drop outs and losers

I will never give up
not even for you
I'll recieve the cup
I'll be one of the few

As I go
remember that I'll miss you
My love I will show
This emotion somehow is new

But now I must run the race of life
And some how exaustion starts from the start
When I win I'll ask you to be my wife
And give you my ever thumping accelerated heart

Will you need me now
as that line comes so fast
And show me how
As I will dwell on the past

And sweat will drip from these pores
as I run this race for the ever dull gold cup
I can dee the wite banner and my hope sores
And as my heart beats to the ryrthem I chant never give up

And you may not want me
But I can't give up trying
Maybe there will be something new to see
As I near the finish line I cant help from dying

My old tired ticker has about had it
and I have to push even if I end up on the ground
As i run forwarde I can feel my heart hit
The inward wall of my chest I can hear the sound

But even if I don't make it I will know
I did my best and then some
And i have exausted my abillity to show
that I will still be there for you winter come

And I lay on the pavement iches from the line
slick from presperation and tears
your face looked fine
no emotion was shone

So i ran for myself
I got up and gave it my all
And that trophy I did win for my shelf
even if I did loose the girl that fall

I think this poem is amazing. Its really something, I loved reading it. I'm glad you're doing this in best interest for yourself and not this girl. Best wishes.
