The Difficulties Of Hello

Contributed by Savannah on Thursday, 5th December 2002 @ 06:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

All I want is a hello
The smallest indication that you're at my side
But even that seems to be too hard
And I can't understand why
So maybe we're not best friends
That doesn't mean I don't care
And all I really wanted
Was to know that you're somehow there

Maybe you're sitting on the other side
Wanting the same from me
Sitting, waiting, and wondering
Where your hello might be
Your thinking that I'm strong enough
To say that fatal word
But my strength will only find me
If its success can be assured

So we're dancing in a circle
Around the world hello
Neither one of us wanting to say it
But both needing it so
We start from nothing
And we go nowhere
But a hello is all it takes
And I'll know that you're there

This is a good write...it's difficult to express how we feel at times, and even to just say hello..and i think we all need to know that someone's there for us...thanks for sharing this one it made me think about alot...
