Not-so Instant Karma

A dreary morning greets me at the door,
one foot before another I embark;
just halfway to the car it starts to pour...
for six am the skies seem way too dark!
I slam the door beside me, turn the key,
adjust the wipers, slide into reverse;
It feels like it's raining just on me...
defroster's dead, perhaps this is that curse?
I fumble with the radio a bit,
three stations playing, "I Wish it Would Rain;"
I roll my eyes and blindly almost hit...
a city bus head-on... does coffee stain?
I keep on driving, all the world a blur...
it's payback time for breaking up with her!
