One day
a broken music box
began to turn.
Toward slant footed rose petals,
gently falling on the brown grass,
brittle.
I turned
and turned,
slowly,
until I saw her reflection
speak through the sun's ray,
a strand of light,
limitless clarity.
She saw me,
her gaze met
the sky,
and upwards towards mine,
and I saw through her eyes,
and into her eye sockets,
and through her brain tissue,
and out through the back of her skull,
I found myself staring back.
The farther out you search,
the more you will find that the limits
we place on life are all self-created,
a mind game of defeat,
and the farther out you look,
you will eventually find yourself
Staring back
A life's dream song,
like breakfast in bed,
preparing for the next breath.

Why in the seven levels of hell are there NO comments on this!??!?!?!!?? Zenmind, don't be discouraged by the lack of comments on this piece. Don't ever stop writing!! This piece is flawless, and people should take the time and linger within the beauty and perfection that is this masterpiece!! ARGH! I'm angry! lol.
But, cheri ami, this is a very impressive and dream-like tale you have so beautifully woven! NEVER think that you aren't talented! Because you are! : D Cheri zenmind, your talent blinds me in this piece.... hell, in every piece! Apologies for my 'unlady-like' language, but I'm ***** off, lol! Just another side of me, I guess, lol. Well, enough of my ranting and rambling, I shall end my 'vent' here, and leave you in peace. Much love and respet to you, fellow poet Zenmind! Aurevoir for now! Very well said, and I like even the through the brain tissue imagery. The whole "breakfast in bed" does throw me however, but it doesn't change the fact that this rocks!
