Right out behind the willow trees
Where once there was a honey-suckle honey breeze
Where once all love used to reign
But now it’s not at all the same
Darkness lurking through the wind
Looking for those who’ve sinned
Feasting on its damn-ed prey
Eating whatever is in its way
Now here comes the very worst part
It lies at the pitiless pit of your heart
Where your punished for your dreadful sins
But then…
The nightmare ends
As soon as the nightmare begins

ah very good ending. the ending is one of the most important parts of a poem. all that is said before is important, because if it is not good enough to read to the ending, then the best ending is never read, but your piece had the best of both worlds. |
