Destination Now

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

you'll never know where the light is if you keep your eyes so tightly closed
you're gonna miss the turns up ahead if you're forever looking back
you'll not ever learn the answers if the questions are never posed
and you'll never gain your presence if being here now is what you lack......

Salvation comes to those whom wait
just a blink on one fine day
nothing ever really troubles fate
rest easy now before you stray

the risk runs to there then off to the left
a little past sunset's door
don't be looking oh so bereft
despite knowing all that's in store

all's on the table up for debate
look behind as they betray
someone needs to lock that swinging gate
erasing all that comes what may

sows her green fields by light of moon
the blooms come alive when spring does fall
high arcana visit much too soon
as the enlightened faerie comes to call

chance is just something that you overrate
if you could somehow find the way
one can only count their traits
as just another shade of gray

a trip down the road and across the brook
to the bridges burned so long ago
to a pathway that only a little girl took
without ever glancing down below

she wears nothing but her frenzied state
a little past tomorrow's delay
by yesterday she's way too late
and life's ends will begin to fray

she dons her wings with her opened mind
and flies to the other side
resting wherever she may find
the plane on which she no longer hides

writhing along the stage to state
it's the glass table on which she lays
no voice inside to calmly berate
exuding her allure like fog on the bay

destination now is where she should be
building stairs to her pedastal shining in the sun
honesty is brutal but that's how you cut the key
for naught of it all she's far from being done

interesting, well written poem not sure quite
what to say. I loved the line, "she wears
nothing but her frenzied state" that was grrreat
if I may say so.
