Minor cut, i thought it was
It seems so helpless, so innocent.
I ran it through warm water
I held it under peroxide
Tried to heal it with a bandaid-
But something wasn't right.
That swollen gash begged for attention
The bandaid fell off without any notice
Little companions buried a home inside
Days later an itchy burn soon arrived.
This minor cut grew deep in hue
Held to the light it seemed to fume
The flames it spued were unbareable
It bled, it scorched, i cried for help.
Minor cut, still hasnt forgiven me
I tried to make it up with sympothy
I dont recall the place of incision
But it always reminds me of its existance
