Give Me Three Weeks

Give me three weeks i need time to think
Were the word running through her head as she sipped on her drink
Pain ran through as emptiness flow
As she thought to herself "how low will you go"
Why do you hurt those who you love
How she longed for his touch as she reached up above
Onto a shelf she pulled down a frame
Again and again crying his name
She traced his face as she touched the cold glass
She remembered the time they'd sat together in class
He was quiet and didnt ever say much
And then she thought of the time they walked together at lunch
The time they'd spent had gone by so fast
And as she sat she pondered the past
But she had no regrets
Except for the mess behind her she'd left
She wished for his arms to just hold her tight
And once again tell her she'd be alright
She remembered his eyes so deep and true
Her heart melted again into a puddle of blue
Their memories together seemed so far away
She wanted so bad to go back to those days
He was so strong and he held her so high
Thinking of this now brought tears to her eyes
She thought of all the late afternoon walks
Where they would just sit on the bleachers on talk
As she looked out the window it started to rain
And a memory rushed back to her once again
It was one that she held so close and so dear
She just tried to keep back her salt water tears
Under a tin roof when he held her so close
Even though he didnt know that was what she needed the most
But all of this fun crashed to a hault
And once again she was souly at fault
But this time was bigger far different than before
This time would ruin and wreck things much more
She asked him if it could be repaired
She looked deep in his eyes and felt her heart tear
He said give me three weeks i need time to think
She nooded but inside her stomach just kinked
So now she sits alone in the dark
Watching her world just fall apart
Knowing there is nothing more she can do
Her heart is already so cold and so blue
She misses her lover but mostly her friend
To think she did something that may cause it to end
Now all she can do is just sit and wait
But with each passing night she stays up late
Wishing and longing for him to be there
Just to be able to touch his soft hair
And now as she slowly lays down to sleep
She will fight to stay strong and try not to weep
Those tears of hers filled with guilt and pure sorrow
So she'll be ready to put onn her mask for tomorrow
So that nobody knows and nobody sees
The pain that she hides deep down beneath
