Skies Masked With Black Tape

Contributed by pyrofungus on Tuesday, 11th January 2005 @ 10:43:30 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Skies masked with black tape
Disillusioned by an accident of faith
Hope…was laughed in the face
Slit open for all to see
To reveal that nothing was behind it
Fallen to their knees
Crying for all to see
That nothing was there
That their life had been wasted by what they had believed in
That what they became was all a waste
Horrified by what they knew was not real
How one could live
Could die
Could become nothing but ashes…
But dirt…
Nature at its purest and most innocent youth
Could rise again from the death of one of theirs
And feed what grew upon its ground
Leaving them with nothing but false beliefs
Brought upon by the one who thought
Control would be great

humans can be so cruel
i cant stand them or even myself at times
your welcome for my comments
its just every time i read your poems
i want to say what they said to me
and then i want to read more
that kind of interest for me is hard to find
your poems are quite unique to me

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
