They told me they would.
But I begged them not,
Because of a dream I had a lot.
They told me to bad,
that I had no say,
they said tomorrow they’d do it,
tomorrows the day.
I sat all night,
without any sleep.
Fearing tomorrow,
the day we'd all weep.
The moon disappeared,
and the sun came out,
as their plans begun,
they disregarded my doubt.
I ran after them,
shouting Please stop I beg of you!
but they ignored my words,
and marched on through.
It's not a big deal, they said,
we're just curious that’s all,
but I new once they opened it,
our world would fall.
So we finally arrived,
to the old building rune,
I felt my heart tremble,
our end would be soon.
and again they didn't care,
and began to pry at the door,
as I ran away and hid,
wondering what they did this for.
I heard their screams,
in the did stance far away,
and I knew the door was open,
as the fire came my way.
Is spread through the forest,
as it burned at the trees,
it destroyed all the people,
burning at 582 degrees.
It crushed the buildings,
like they weren't even there,
And we could have prevented this,
but no one seemed to care.
Just imagine what we can do,
with the things we don't know,
curiosity killed the cat,
and it killed us too.

That was good, I've never read anything quite
like it before and I think you did a really good
job. Adding a story to that old saying really
brought it out. The rhythm was easy to read
and was a good contrast to the seriousness
of the poem, because to me the rhyming
seemed more suited to a happy light poem
Awesome Job!
