DAD

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I hate to see you suffer and have pain in your body
There is never a day I don't want to take your place
I want you to be young, free, lively
Not the way you are now
Captured, aged, and dead.
The thoughts of you suffering brings tears to my eyes
and shivers to my back
The pain is closing stages on your life
Nothing but fear surrounds it
But you are young and spirited, especially at heart
And that joy brings you existance
It helps you to live and go by
You never give up. You trust in God
and that all together brings you life

I love the hope you have depicted in the last lines of this wonderful write.

My dad almost died a few years ago, so I know what this is like to a certain point. I was a wreck though, so it's always good to keep the hope, because it can help get you through anything.

I wish you and your dad the very best.

Very touching poem. so sorry for your pain.
I never see my father but I love him very much.
Your poem makes me realize that i should not take for granted that he will always be there. Thankyou for reminding me what is important in life.
I am so sorry you're losing you Dad, my hopes and prayers are with you.

As someone on the list of not-so-much-time-left, I can't express how much undying love like yours can mean. Though it hurts to know that you are causing this kind of pain, it's good to know that it's not held against you. When the time comes remember what you said in this fabulous poem. Remember the light and life he had, and where he's going.

Sorry for being long-winded and overbearing.

Love ~N~ Peace
Kali
