Falling Flower Petals

Contributed by Unheard_Mute on Tuesday, 11th January 2005 @ 04:31:29 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Roses ain't red and violets aren't blue,
And I really don't know what you expect me to do,
Cause I've been lookin for you, but you're never there,
And I'm startin to wonder if you truly care,
It just doesn't seem fair that I'm left behind,
And I can't seem to stop myself from losin my mind,
So as I'm fallin to my death all I hear is the crow,
Close my eyes and kiss the sky cause I'm just ready to go...

Float on in the breeze, ride a petal to the sky,
Then fall to the earth cause I'm so ready to die...
Float on in the breeze, ride a petal to the sky,
Then fall to the earth cause I'm so ready to die...

Violets ain't blue and roses aren't red,
Don't cry for me cause I'm already dead,
Said what I said, but it all went unheard,
So let this sad song be my final word,
I've laughed and I've cried, and I've died inside,
And all in all, it was a hell of a ride,
But when it's your time, hey, what can I say,
Except to just close your eyes and walk on into the grey...

Float on in the breeze, ride a petal to the sky,
Then fall to the earth cause I'm so ready to die...
Float on in the breeze, ride a petal to the sky,
Then fall to the earth cause I'm so ready to die...

Float on in the breeze, ride a petal to the sky,
Then fall to the earth cause I'm so ready to die...

Cause I'm so ready to die...

Goodbye...

Well if you really felt this, don't give up on your dreams. I don't know. I've been warned off on cliche' but the flowers and colors one works for me, although I can't speak for others. It'd make a good song I think. Cheers!

Very powerful - I would love to hear the music for these words- I can feel your pain.
I hope things get better for you, just keep on writing it really helps to release these emotions.

Take care

::pout:: well you might be ready to die, but im not ready to let you die! so there! amazing and exceptional lyrics. im not too good on the guitar either. im better on the acoustic. it would also help if i knew more chords, i know mostly notes, etc. taking it one painful finger at a time, lol.

sorry for all of my funky comments on your poems, i was in a weird mood, so you get weird comments...
