Teardrops

Contributed by LucisLucy on Tuesday, 11th January 2005 @ 01:04:29 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

A tear is just a tear
Like the rain I always seem to find them
A storm brewing inside
Walking through a corridor
Looking for a place to hide
From the teardrops in my life
Torture in my eyes
I never fed anyone lies
All I did was help
But never said my word
And no one ever heard
Teardrops just fall
Like the rain at sea
The thunder and lightning
All of it cascades within me
Yet nobody knows
Or understands my teardrops
In the storm lightning flashes
Always it strikes me down
Thunders through my heart
I try to carry on
But nothing is real on the outside
The teardrops have taken over inside
The real place unable to smile
The tear is just a tear
But like the rain I always seem to find them
Or they find me
I hide them but cannot hide from them
Teardrops haven’t faded
Still fresh still hurt
Of the pain that’s never there
I smile once
But through that smile it’s never fair
You think I’m happy but you don’t see
The painful storm cascading in me
One step two step three and four
Pain be gone tears be no more
Sun shine inside my heart
Dry up the rain
Split the wretched pain apart
The thunder roars and lightning strikes
Again I’m full of teardrops
Pitter patter pitter patter
My bubble pops
And more tears fall
I smile each time you call
But nothing is real
Not with all the pain I have to feel
People say I’m happy
But they may think I have lied
I haven’t
They just haven’t been able to find
All the rain and teardrops I’ve managed to hide

This is really long. You might separate out into sections a bit. Still, it's poignantly sad. Blessings.
