here take hold of my hand
she had a bad day
and tears oscillate with
a voice
defiant and demanding
cadence
he's on the 16th floor
and knows the ocean is there
still can't see
out the window
and they want to know why
their son can't read
and he's eleven years old
and mother breast cancer father renal
failure no food for lunches the laundry didn't
exactly do itself today how the hell do you
make a latke anyway and the malls better be open until 9 and what i'd like is the car is making disconcerting banging sounds do i do anything with a virus in quarantine or leave it there report cards rubber boots rubber cheques
and i
am out
of withdrawal slips.

This is interesting.
By the way for easy latkes rehydrate some instant hashbrowns and add eggs, cinnamon, and a little milk. form into small patties and fry like a pancake.
