This is a life of desire,
a life of happiness,
a life of fear.
Everyone has these feelings,
and everyone sheds that tear.
Everyone's heart is broken.
Everyone's lives are shattered,
but only for a little while.
The pain is intense.
The love is still there,
and yes it's true life isn't fair.
It takes a while before your heart starts to heal,
people don't understand the pain that you feel.
That feeling called love will never go away,
this feeling in your heart will forever stay.
Your heart is healed now,
the pain of this one gone for good,
but the love still remains in the shadows
where you and her once stood.
