There's so much I can't say
Screaming in this empty place
What I have is what I hate
What I need, so far away
There's so much I can't do
Loving what I think is you
What I want is all I've lost
Don't think I'm not strong enough
When you say you're not that real
Well I know the way you fail to feel
I wish I were that faded
That all my stumbling words weren't wasted
I hope someone takes you in
And you find yourself in love again
There's so much I can't face
Lying to myself in case
What I miss takes me over
What I've got coming closer
There's so much I could lose
So much I don't get to choose
What I love is getting lost
What it feels like says it all
When you say you're always wrong
Well I know the way you don't belong
I wish I weren't so ardent
That I'd kept my heart more closely guarded
I hope someday you're okay
Walk out from the pain of yesterday
There's nothing left to prove
And I'd do it all for you
'Cause all these things I'm feeling
Have kinda left me reeling
There's nothing left to hide
Killing time is suicide
'Cause all this breath I'm holding
Is the hope you're consoling
There's nothing like the pain
Of understanding the rain
'Cause I feel you in the air
And you feel so in repair
All that's left is healing
I love the way I'm feeling
How I smile when I see stars
All those simple things you are

I've already told you how much I love this. One of your best in a while, maybe since Masquerades of Apathy. Your poems about . . . that topic . . . are always so unimaginably beautiful they leave me achy and breathless and wanting to write them down, bury them in a time capsule, so that after we're gone everyone can benefit from their beauty . . .
I've already gone through the whole poem with you and told you every single line and phrase I loved, as well, (lol) so there's not much more to say.
Except that you're in the top two most beautiful people I've ever known, and the way you weave words like you do is nothing short of magick, I swear, and I love you to pieces, and you mean more to me than maybe you'll ever know, and I feel so lucky to know you, to be such close friends with you. *rereads* That's a lotta 'and's. lol.

Dee - *sigh* I just don't think I have words enough for this. There is certainly talent here - but there is something else... something that I can't find the right word for... heart maybe. Nah... even that's not quite right.
"understanding the rain"... if I linger on that long enough - I'd be bawling. I adore the last stanza of this - though... I can't say I related in a way that made me expect it to be as it was. And maybe, just maybe, that's why I'm left without words enough....

Wow, it's... My words fail me always when I need them most but I'm pretty sure you know how I feel towards this one.
You know how you say it always seems like I've taken a look into your head with how well you relate to what I write? This is very much the same for me only... A more internal to self poem even when it applies to others.
