Beauty's Bitterness

Oh how I wish I could take this heart
And shove it down thy throat! Eat
This, you bastard. Why I ever thought
I’d found something true, I’ll never
Know. Now, I’m drowning in grief
I thought was cast aside finally.
I’m so bloody stupid! Stupid for even
Thinking such things were real. Love
Is some morbid emotion that preys
On the soul until there is NOTHING.
Damn you to Hell, I say! ***** Cupid
And break his arrows that bleed the
Heart, leaving just a shell of a woman
Behind in its wake.
Of course I’m bitter, who wouldn’t be!
Why do I find it so necessary to let these
Things happen to me, time after time?
To open myself up, expose ME to the
Elements that care not how I feel.
Just finish eating my heart and get it
Over with so that I might finally wither
Away into the darkness that festers deep
Within my burned out soul.
I hope you choke on it.

I don't know why no one has left comments before. This is powerfully emotional. I hope you heal. Blessings. |
