On a plane going east
Arizona below me
i watched the white sands
boil and collapse
drinking a dry martini
the crisp skirt
of the city beneath me
beneath the very same waters
that drowned in her eyes,
beneath the very dirt
that inhaled in her laughter.
Being shaken from my sleep
i lift and fall.
(the fat lady in red.
the weightlifter
reading a book.
his lonely wife
flirting
with the gay stewert.
the captain ahead.)
i listen to the humbled humility
of the rain.
the sun forgets her
her eyes fall into the sea
travelled by the moonlight
silver nets cast over the night
her lips are forever.

It's pretty good. Not as bad as you might think in fact not bad at all, but I guess it depends on how you look at it ^_^. ~~lates~~ |
