It seemed like life would never cease.
Until you were caught by the disease.
Now when I pass by you no longer wave.
Because you have been taken to your grave.
Now I can no longer see you here.
Except for pictures, but they aren’t clear.
A picture can’t show what lies within.
How you could make a person grin.
When I remember your face it makes me smile.
I wish I could turn back the clock a while.
I’d give away all that I hold.
To embrace the one that broke the mold.
